Toshiba's New DVD Player Rivals a Blue Ray DVD Player |

Watching your DVD movies may never be the same now that Toshiba has put out its next generation Blue Ray DVD player. What makes the Toshiba XD-E500 DVD player so extraordinary is its XDE feature. XDE stands for "eXtended Detail Enhancement". Not only does XDE enable viewers to upconvert their images from 480i/p to 1080p, it gives them the ability to select greater detail, more vivid colors and greater contrast, bringing the standard DVD viewing experience closer to watching Blue Ray DVD movies on a high-end Blue Ray DVD player. This is not what is Blue Ray, but it does make the standard DVD experience a lot closer to watching Blue Ray movies for about half the price of buying a Blue Ray DVD player, with sharper, crisper images, more saturated colors and deeper contrasts than are currently available on any standard DVD player. If you're not ready to shell out for a Blue Ray DVD player, then this might be an acceptable alternative, especially if you're someone who already likes the visual quality now available only on a Blue Ray DVD player. |
