What is Blue Ray and Why Are Its Movies So Expensive? |

If you haven't been paying attention to the latest advances in audiovisual technology, then you may not have noticed the advent of Blue Ray DVD movies and the Blue Ray DVD player that uses them. Blue Ray movies are being touted as the latest thing, the biggest advance in movie watching technology since the DVD player came in. But, are they worth they high prices that they are going for? Well, the answer to that is yes, and no. It really depends on how much of a videophile you really are. If extremely sharp video images and extra features are what you're looking for, then you need to run, not walk, to your local Best Buy or other video supply store, and buy yourself Blue Ray DVD player and a stack of Blue Ray movies. But, there are some drawbacks to shifting over to a Blue Ray DVD player and system. For one, thing there aren't that many Blue Ray movies out there. Although they are starting to show up at retail outlets like Walmart and Costco, there just ain't that much software out there, people, so you're better off waiting a while to switch over to Blue Ray. |
